Pirate copies of the latest movies, songs and concerts are often available to the public shortly after their publication. Just recently the streaming website kino.to has been all over Read more…

Technology is a very important part in our lives; we use it every day and, if we admit it, became more and more dependent on it over the past years. Gadgets and software we are making use of were unthinkable several years ago. The technological advances in the last years are tremendous and they have transformed how the world communicates.
As a business student and a person that keeps up with the time I am keen on finding out about new trends and innovation in technology. In my opinion it is not only interesting but also essential nowadays to be up-to-date, especially in the business world. As one thinks about the technological progress in the past 20, 30 years the question arises of what the future will look like in another 20, 30 years. This week I came across an article that made me change the topic of my post as I felt like I had to post about it.
Have you ever wondered what the typical future home could look like?
Microsoft can provide the answer! Microsoft made it their task to envision the future. They built a Microsoft Home that shows a scenario of how an average family lives in the not so distant future, circa 15 years from now. The House features a lot of useful, very futuristic gadgets. So many things will be digital and interactive. You basically connect with your house. There is a watch for instance that records your health data and synchronizes it with your home network, a mirror that organized your closet and suggests what to wear. In the Microsoft House there are motion-activated wallpapers, Facebook and Twitter could be on our walls 24/7.
As an article suggested there is probably a social vending machine in the kitchen. You should defenitely check out the video; it is worth it!
So what do you think about the Microsoft Future Home? Which of the aspects would you like to have in your home?
